Beyond Buran Ghati – More Than Just Another Trek
Every mountain has a story to tell.
Some challenge your body. Some humble your mind. And a few quietly change the way you look at life.
Buran Ghati was one of those journeys.
Nestled in the heart of Himachal Pradesh, this spectacular trek takes you through dense pine forests, charming Himalayan villages, endless alpine meadows, glacial lakes, snowfields, and finally to the breathtaking Buran Pass at an altitude of approximately 4,550 metres.
But like every trek, the destination was only a small part of the experience.
The early morning walks, conversations over cups of tea, the laughter inside tents, unpredictable mountain weather, breathtaking landscapes, and the friendships forged along the trail are what truly made this journey unforgettable.
Unlike many of my previous expeditions, Buran Ghati wasn’t about chasing a summit. It was about slowing down, soaking in every moment, and enjoying the journey itself.
My First Travel Vlog
This trek also became a personal milestone.
For the first time, I decided to document an entire expedition as a travel vlog. From learning video editing software from scratch to organizing hours of footage and building a story around the experience, it was an entirely new adventure after returning home.
Like many of us, I have thousands of photographs and videos lying forgotten on hard drives. This vlog is my attempt to preserve those memories in a way that allows us to relive the entire journey, not just through pictures, but through the sights, sounds and emotions of the trek.
Whether you are planning Buran Ghati yourself, were part of our trekking group, or simply enjoy watching mountain adventures, I hope this film transports you into the Himalayas for the next 50 minutes.

A Special Thank You
One of the highlights of this journey was trekking with Siddharth (@siddharth_the_traveller), someone I had first met as a fellow participant during our Mt. Elbrus expedition.
What started as a shared climb on Europe’s highest mountain turned into another memorable adventure together in the Himalayas. Siddharth’s passion for the outdoors, attention to detail, and ability to create a welcoming atmosphere made this trek even more enjoyable. Every aspect of the journey was thoughtfully planned, allowing all of us to focus on what mattered most: experiencing the mountains.
I’m grateful for the effort he put into making this expedition so memorable and look forward to sharing many more trails together in the future.
The mountains always leave us with something more valuable than photographs. They leave us with stories, friendships, and a reason to return.
Until the next trail…
